So we are having a garage sale tomorrow. I hate them BUT we need to get rid of a bunch of stuff. And to give the kids incentive to get rid of toys they don't play with, we said that we would use the money to but a Wii. ALL of their friends have one so they really want one too. Truth is I already bought it while I could get one but I'm not giving to them until Saturday.
By the way, to introduce my kids, L is 6. He just finished Kindergarten. He is super smart and can read really well. He is also quite handsome. I will post pictures soon. M just turned 5. She will be going to Kindergarten next year. She is also very smart but the only reason I know that is because she got super high test scores in pre-school. Because, unlike her brother who loves to let us know all that he can do, she likes to act helpless. It is very frustrating. She is also so intuative, lies with a straight face, and has more common sense than alot of adults I know. I am already dreading her teenage years! Plus, she's beautiful with brown curly hair and georgeous green eyes.
Other "people" that live at my house are my two cats and one dog. The cats are named Luke and Phoenix. Luke came from an add on freecycle. He is the greatest most laid back cat ever. Phoenix is a three-legged cat that I inherited from one of my students. She got him from one of the other professors. He had been found, was badly hurt, and had suffered abuse. His leg was set in a cast but it never healed so they had to amputate it. That doesn't stop him though. He climbs trees and gets on the roof of our house. A couple of weeks ago he managed to kill a bird! He is also alot less skittish than he used to be although he still is terrified of my husband (but most animals want nothing to do with my husband which is wierd because he is really gentle). And finally, my dog is named Scooby. He is a small mutt that showed up at my house one night and never left. That is how I have gotten most of the dogs I've had or at the pound. He is the sweetest thing and loves me unconditionally. He really makes me happy.
Okay, this post has gotten way too long. More later...
